I went to LA Friday night to hang out with my sister and to celebrate my passing Managerial Accounting (for those of you who don't know-I'm two semesters away from graduating with my MBA from Notre Dame). My sister suggested we celebrate at Father's Office in LA. I had a fabulous time-drank a delicious Side Car (my favorite drink), ate a yummy Office Burger and munched on the best sweet potato fries EVER! Bird on a Wire

An Oldie but Goodie

I was on Creativity-Online.com yesterday and came across this amazing ad for the Ontario College of Art & Design. They are pushing their Executive Master of Design & Advertising program. It lists all the great Ad agencies and leaders in the creative business--I think of many of these people as my heros. Some people I have run into lately don't understand the crucial role creatives fill. Don't ever let anyone tell ya differently...creatives=success!

Darling Clementine

I'm taking a snack break and am enjoying one of my favorite fruits-the clementine. Darling brand is my favorite-they are grown in Spain and taste very similar to a tangerine-they are seedless which makes eating them even more enjoyable. Another plus, is the adorable creates they come in. If you haven't tried them-I suggest that ya do. :)

Only in Europe...

The Brits are so cheeky....that's why I love them. This advert for Cadbury is really a fun ad. :)

Simply, Refreshing!

I think these Pepsi ads are simply fabulous! Makes me want to run out and buy Pespi and I am a Coke drinker! Bravo!

Muszac to my ears...

It's Saturday morning and I'm in the studio trying to concentrate on the new logo design package for Triumph Productions based in Santa Monica. I'm quite keen of the band from Denmark,  The Galaxy Asteroids Tour. If you haven't heard of them-check out their hit Sun Ain't Shining No More and Around the Bend. The Danish duo sound sunny, summery and almost psychedelic. Apple thought their sound was unique and ended up using Around the Bend in a recent iPod Touch advert-if that isn't reason enough to give a listen, I don't know what is.

True That!

What and the heck is Truvia? I was drawn to it simply for the great package design and of course the fact that it is lime green. If it was not derived from sugar cane, where was it coming from? I found thattt...it comes from a stevia plant. They steep the leaves of this plant, much like making tea and that captures the rebiana, which is the best tasting part of the plant. It's a zero calorie sweetener--what could be sweeter than that?

Tea Time

Many of you know how I feel about London--it is by far one of my favorite places in the world! Next time I'm in London I plan to make a stop for tea and cakes at The Parlour at Sketch. The inside of Sketch looks like a  traditional private men's club complete with dark wood panelling meets edgy gallery with odd matching furniture and chandeliers. Think tea and cakes in an edgier Anthropologie. Heaven I say! You can check out their site by going to www.sketch.uk.com. If you are in London the nearest tube stop would be Oxford Circus.

Let Them Use Hair Powder!

I came across hair powder on my recent holiday to Florida and am a user and believer--I have to have Bumble & Bumble's white hair powder! It sounds like something new, but hair powder has a long history. Before shampoo, that is all people had to remove oil from their hair. I use it because it makes my hair fuller, blends my roots and acts like a dry cleanser if I'm on the road. It comes in 5 shades: white, blondish, red, brown and black. MAC has a new line of luscious lip glasses, lip sticks, eye shadows and nail lacquers out this Fall. Yay for MAC! I'm currently loving Creme Cerise. Mac suggest paring this shade with the following: Spiced Chocolate eye shadow and Cherry Blossom tinted lipglass.
